It is amusing to me that people that scream to keep laws out of their uteri, aren't screaming about the governments attempt to legislate their entire body.

Jun. 3rd, 2009 02:20 am 0130 interstate 80 115 mph

So I was driving home on the interstate listening to my mp3 player. Rammstein comes on the shuffle and it motivates me to drive. Apparently I was quite motivated.

The song ends and switches to Tom Jones. Tom is a lot of things but drive fucking fast music he ain't. I look down.... Um 115 mph. Yeah, it took a bit of time to slow down.

Observations:

1- 115 does not feel nearly as fast as it should.

2- 85 feels pretty slow after going 115.

3- 70 feels positively glacial.

4- Rammstein should come with a warning label.

Jun. 2nd, 2009 09:39 pm State legislative aide wanted to wear panda costume, have sex with boy, cops say

State legislative aide wanted to wear panda costume, have sex with boy, cops say
by MATTHEW KEMENY, Of The Patriot-News
Friday May 29, 2009, 3:14 PM

A former legislative aide to now-retired Sen. Hal Mowery, R-Camp Hill, is accused of sexually propositioning a 15-year-old Harrisburg boy through Internet chats, including discussions about dressing up in animal costumes and engaging in various sex acts with the boy, state Attorney General Tom Corbett announced today.

Alan David Berlin, 40, most recently a legislative aide to state Sen. Jane Clare Orie, R-Allegheny, used the Internet screen name, "alan_panda_bear," to chat with the boy in April and May, Corbett said. At one point during the chats, Berlin proposed traveling to the boy's home and having sex with him in the backyard while his parents were sleeping, Corbett said.

Berlin also requested nude photos of the boy and offered to get a hotel room if he could take pictures of the boy and another adult having sex, according to court papers. The boy's parents became concerned after discovering sexually graphic messages on their son's computer and contacted the Attorney General's Child Predator Unit, which began an investigation Tuesday, Corbett said.

Berlin was arrested Thursday in Carlisle by agents from the Child Predator Unit, who were assisted by officers from the Carlisle and North Middleton Township police departments. He has been suspended without pay and benefits indefinitely, Orie's chief counsel, Mike Sarfert, said.

Berlin was charged with unlawful contact with a minor, criminal attempted sexual exploitation of children, criminal solicitation to commit sexual abuse of children and criminal use of a computer. He was arraigned before District Judge George A. Zozos and taken to Dauphin County Prison in lieu of $250,000 bail.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday before District Judge William C. Wenner.

May. 26th, 2009 12:18 pm Sonia Sotomayor for Supreme Court Appointment

http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=D98DUHH00&show_article=1

Obama Picks a racist for the court. Shocking!

“I would hope that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experiences would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male who hasn’t lived that life,” said Judge Sotomayor

As an appellate judge, she sided with the city of New Haven, Conn., in a discrimination case brought by white firefighters after the city threw out results of a promotion exam because two few minorities scored high enough. Ironically, that case is now before the Supreme Court.

I missed the part where race trumps the ability to fight fires?

May. 5th, 2009 09:26 pm College Student Shoots, Kills Home Invader...

COLLEGE PARK, Ga. -- A group of college students said they are lucky to be alive and they’re thanking the quick-thinking of one of their own. Police said a fellow student shot and killed one of two masked me who burst into an apartment.

Channel 2 Action News reporter Tom Jones met with one of the students to talk about the incident.

“Apparently, his intent was to rape and murder us all,” said student Charles Bailey.

Bailey said he thought it was the end of his life and the lives of the 10 people inside his apartment for a birthday party after two masked men with guns burst in through a patio door.

“They just came in and separated the men from the women and said, ‘Give me your wallets and cell phones,’” said George Williams of the College Park Police Department.

Bailey said the gunmen started counting bullets. “The other guy asked how many (bullets) he had. He said he had enough,” said Bailey.

That’s when one student grabbed a gun out of a backpack and shot at the invader who was watching the men. The gunman ran out of the apartment.

The student then ran to the room where the second gunman, identified by police as 23-year-old Calvin Lavant, was holding the women.

“Apparently the guy was getting ready to rape his girlfriend. So he told the girls to get down and he started shooting. The guy jumped out of the window,” said Bailey.

A neighbor heard the shots and heard someone running nearby.

“And I heard someone say, ‘Someone help me. Call the police. Somebody call the police,’” said a neighbor.

The neighbor said she believes it was Lavant, who was found dead near his apartment, only one building away.

Bailey said he is just thankful one student risked his life to keep others alive.

“I think all of us are really cognizant of the fact that we could have all been killed,” said Bailey.

One female student was shot several times during the crossfire. She is expected to make a full recovery.

Police said they are close to making the arrest of the second suspect.

Damn shame this is all a lie. Everybody knows ABC showed that college kids with guns don't stand a chance against armed criminals.

Apr. 14th, 2009 09:26 pm Texas governor will take action with 10th amendment legislation

Nice to see this.

AUSTIN – Gov. Rick Perry today joined state Rep. Brandon Creighton and sponsors of House Concurrent Resolution (HCR) 50 in support of states’ rights under the 10th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

“I believe that our federal government has become oppressive in its size, its intrusion into the lives of our citizens, and its interference with the affairs of our state,” Gov. Perry said. “That is why I am here today to express my unwavering support for efforts all across our country to reaffirm the states’ rights affirmed by the Tenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. I believe that returning to the letter and spirit of the U.S. Constitution and its essential 10th Amendment will free our state from undue regulations, and ultimately strengthen our Union.”

A number of recent federal proposals are not within the scope of the federal government’s constitutionally designated powers and impede the states’ right to govern themselves. HCR 50 affirms that Texas claims sovereignty under the 10th Amendment over all powers not otherwise granted to the federal government.

It also designates that all compulsory federal legislation that requires states to comply under threat of civil or criminal penalties, or that requires states to pass legislation or lose federal funding, be prohibited or repealed.

HCR 50 is authored by Representatives Brandon Creighton, Leo Berman, Bryan Hughes, Dan Gattis and Ryan Guillen.

Dear God, I spent my youth in this place. Oh carpet of doom, I see that after 20 years you still are unclean. Just as I left you.

The floor of this theatre was a place best not seen in the light.
